Get drawn into this classic conspiracy adventure

Broken Sword, the classic 1996 point-and-click adventure has been brought to the iPhone. It's the director's cut version, last seen on the Wii and Nintendo DS, and uses the highly-rated control system seen in last year's Beneath a Steel Sky.

Set in Paris, the story begins with journalist Nico Collard being invited to meet a powerful statesman, which draws her into a frightening conspiracy. You'll also control American George Stobart, who finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, accidentally getting involved in the mystery too.

This version is much longer than the original, and has updated graphics and cinematic cut screens. There are subtitles and full voice acting, which makes Broken Sword a very immersive experience, and the story is fantastic. As it's considered one of the best ever adventures, making a new version is dangerous, but this manages to improve on the original. The additional material and control make the experience even better than before.

The original is an old game, and the difficulty of the puzzles reflects this - they are hard! Some people will enjoy the challenge, and others find them frustrating. However, there is a hint system to guide you when necessary, so you'll never get totally stuck.

This can't be praised highly enough. Broken Sword has one of the most gripping stories ever seen in a video game, has an incredible control system and it looks and sounds fantastic.
